Privacy Policy
Thula Moya is a self-catering cottage in Phalaborwa, Limpopo, South Africa. This policy explains what personal information we collect through thulamoya.co.za, why we collect it and how we look after it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect
- Enquiry form: your name, email address, travel dates and message.
- Emails you send us directly.
- Technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, collected automatically by our website host and security service.
We do not collect payment details. Bookings are made and paid through Airbnb, under Airbnb’s own privacy policy.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and help plan your stay.
- To keep the website secure and working.
- To see, in general terms, how people find the site in Google search.
We never sell or rent your information, and we won’t send you marketing unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run the site and our email: our website host, Cloudflare (security and speed), and Google (Gmail for our inbox, Google Maps on the Contact page, and Google Search Console, which shows us search totals but nothing about individual visitors). Some of these providers store data outside South Africa; we only use providers with appropriate safeguards in place.
Cookies
We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies. The site only uses essential cookies that keep it working and secure. The Google Map on our Contact page is provided by Google, which may set its own cookies when the map loads, under Google’s privacy policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and stay, and for up to 12 months afterwards, unless the law requires longer. Then we delete them.
Your rights
Under POPIA you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond promptly. You can also complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
Keeping it safe
The site is served securely over HTTPS, and we take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Last updated: 14 October 2026.
